Prizes Awarded to the Winners of the Competition Titled “Original Is Always Better”


The ceremony of awarding prizes to the winners of the competition titled “Original Is Always Better” was held on 27 May 2019 at the premises of the State Intellectual Property Office.

Ljiljana Kuterovac, Director General of the State Intellectual Property Office and Silvija Trpkovska, representative of the World Intellectual Property Organization awarded prizes to the finalists, the winners in the related category and to the overall winner of the competition titled “Original Is Always Better”.
The overall winner of the competition, Melita Sandrin, a student of the Construction Technical School Zagreb, presented her motives to create a video work titled „Artifex" and then the exhibition of schoolchildren’s works was opened at the premises of INCENTIV.

The prizes by categories were awarded to:

Roko Bačelić-Medić from Primary School Faust Vrančić Šibenik for the cartoon titled “Original Is Always Better”, as the best work in the category of works by primary schoolchildren in class 1 to 4
and to the finalists in this category:
Majda Tiršek from Primary School Vojnić for the literary work: “Combat against Copies” and
Lorena Andrijanić from Primary School Novo Čiče for the fine art work: “Creativity”.

Mislav Bradarić, Luka Katavić and David Koncoš from Primary School Mato Lovrak Vladislavci for the video work “Original Is Always Better”, as the best work in the category of works by primary schoolchildren in class 5 to 8
and to the finalists in this category:
Mia Kovačević, Lisa Katarina Đukić and Iva Rutar from Primary School Viktor Car Emin Lovran for the composition: “Original Is Always Better” and
Ivana Milanković from Primary School Đuro Pilar, District School Kolonija, Slavonski Brod for the literary work: “My Property”.

Melita Sandrin from the Construction Technical School Zagreb for the video rad “Artifex”, as the best work in the category of works by secondary schoolchildren
and to the finalists in this category:
Sandra Puljko from the School for Art, Design, Graphics and Clothing Zabok for the fine art/literary work: “Something Else” and
Lorena Kalić, Lucija Kristić and Ivona Marjanović from the Accredited Salesian Classical Grammar School from Rijeka for the video work: “Think”.

Melita Sandrin from the Construction Technical School Zagreb was awarded for the video work titled “Artifex” as the best work of all.
