The New Patent Regulations Issued

We inform the interested public that the new Patent Regulations were issued in the Republic of Croatia, which were published in the “Official Gazette” No. 55/20 on 8 May 2020 and they shall come into effect on 16 May 2020.

The new Patent Regulations (hereinafter: the new Regulations) shall provide for the enforcement of the Patent Act (“Official Gazette”, No. 16/20) and define specifications, detailed rules and forms explicitly prescribed by the Act to be regulated by the Regulations.

The forms to be used in procedures and instructions related to their fulfilment shall be available at the website of the Office as of the day of the new Regulations coming into effect, when the former Patent Regulations shall cease to be valid (“Official Gazette”, No. 117/07, 03/11, 66/11, 145/12, 85/13 and 43/17), except for Article 20 of the Regulations which shall come into effect as of the day of an agreement on cooperation referred to in Article 56 paragraph (3) of the Patent Act coming into effect.
