Right of Access to Information

In accordance with the Law on the Right of Access to Information, public authorities have obligation to make information accessible to natural and legal persons by way of their transparent and public operations.

Considering the nature of operations and development of information services, a large part of information in possessed, controlled and managed by the State Intellectual Property Office (Office) is accessible to the public via the Office official web pages or Intellectual Property Information Centre (INCENTIV).

A systematized review of information in  possessed, controlled and managed by the Office, with a description of its contents, purpose and security mode and time, is contained in the Catalogue of the Information of the Office, prepared in accordance with the Law on the Right of Access to Information.

Transparency of the Office work is provided by regular publication, on the official web pages, of the decisions and measures within Office competence, information on tenders and official information in the monthly official gazette: The Croatian Intellectual Property Gazette, as well as information about the operations of the Office in the publication Annual Report  which is available to the public.

In accordance with the Law on the Right of Access to Information an Office appointed information officer, as a special official person authorised to enable right on access to information.

Besides using the mentioned regular information services of the Office the right on access to information, may be realized by filing the appropriate request for access to information.
