The exhibition European Inventors Hall of Fame from 3rd July 2015 at the Technical Museum in Zagreb

European Inventor Award – fifteen outstanding inventors competing for the Popular Prize
On 11 June the European Patent Office (EPO) will present the tenth European Inventor Award. The winner of the Popular Prize will be selected exclusively by the public in an online poll. The public is invited to vote online for their favourite finalist. Voting is open until 4 June on www.epo.org.

ACCESSION TO THE EUROPEAN UNION AND CHANGES IN THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY SYSTEM
By the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union on 1 July 2013, the Croatian intellectual property system will be completely integrated into the intellectual property system of the European Union. All the steps made on the path of this integration, which were not related to the time itself of the accession to the European Union, were completed during the pre-accession process, whereas the integration will be completely finished on the day of the accession.

The Office in the TMview System – Croatian Trademarks in the Common Database of Trademarks of the European Union and Other Countries

Harmonization of Classification of Goods and Services
The process of technical harmonization that will, after the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union, allow, among other things, the full inclusion of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) in the programs of cooperation between national trademark offices of the Member States launched by the Office for Harmonization on the Internal Market (OHIM) as the trademark office of the European Union is underway.

Signature of cooperation and bilateral agreements with OHIM

SIPO joins EuroClass
State Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Croatia joins the OHIM project EuroClass, a search classification for trade marks, on 6 July 2012. With Croatia joining the project, the total number of participating European national offices has now risen to 27.
