WIPO Summer School for Intellectual Property in Croatia will be held in Rijeka from August 31 to September 11, 2026.
In cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization, State Intellectual Property Office and the University of Rijeka, the tenth WIPO Summer School for Intellectual Property in Croatia will be held from August 31 to September 11, 2026, with participation of students and young experts from eight countries, including Croatia.

In the year in which we celebrate the 35th anniversary of SIPO, we remember the Croatian inventor Franjo Hanaman, whose invention left an indelible mark on the development of electric lighting. Franjo Hanaman was born in 1878, in Drenovci near Županja. During his education, he developed a special interest in chemistry, which he studied at the Technical University in Vienna.
