Croatia joins the Federated European Patent Register
The Federated European Patent Register started retrieving official bibliographic and legal status information from the Croatian Register. This service supports European Patents which have entered into the national phase in Croatia, filed from 1.1.2008 onwards.

EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) – new name for the largest EU Agency
The Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) has today changed its name to the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The change comes about as a result of the entry into force of Regulation (EU) 2015/2424 of the European Parliament and of the Council. The name of the Community trade mark changes to the European Union trade mark (EUTM). The fees payable to the Office will also change, resulting in an overall reduction in their amounts.

A press conference was held on 23rd February 2016 to launch the national campaign on risks related to online purchase of counterfeit and pirated goods under the slogan “Don't buy a cat in a poke“ featuring representatives of public administration authorities and institutions involved in the coordination mechanism of intellectual property enforcement, under which mechanism the campaign is run.
